Baptism Jesus commands His followers to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19). This is not a polite suggestion; it is a command from Jesus which He gives as His "last words" before His ascension into heaven! Baptism is a public event for the whole family of God to celebrate and so Baptisms can be done on most Sundays during the regular worship service. To schedule a Baptism at Emmanuel please contact Pastor Michael Jarrett at [email protected] or 570-933-4065 (Full immersion baptism are also available - contact pastor for details) Please read through "Questions Concerning Baptisms" to see requirements and what to expect at baptism.
